High Blood Pressure

– Salt
– Calories to maintain ideal body weight (even 10-20 lbs. can drop BP significantly)
– Sugar, white flour, white rice
– Alcohol
– Saturated and total fat – Especially avoid partially hydrogenated oils, as in: Margarines, Creamers, Peanut butter (natural is OK though).

– Potassium or Fresh fruits and vegetables
– Calcium or Leafy greens, dairy & enriched soy/rice milk
– Magnesium or Leafy greens, whole grains, beans, nuts
– Fiber
– Omega 3: fish oil or Coromega or Fish 5x/week
– Fish, walnuts, flaxseed meal, pumpkin seeds

If a personal or family history of diabetes, hypoglycemia, or sugar cravings:
– Chromium
– Vanadium (Vanadyl Sulfate)
– Cinnamon
– Garlic
– Hawthorn

– Aerobic exercise, Walking, Swimming
– Meditation
– Tai Chi
